Suspension Clamp
01 — Overview
- Code
- SYN-T3-SC
- Type
- Type-III — Wedge type
- Drawing
- TEC GR 13.8
Holds the cable at an intermediate point of support and will accommodate deviation angles up to twenty degrees. The body is plastic rather than metal so the cable is not damaged if it is pulled through before the liner is fitted, and the flange carries a non-permanent locking device that stops the cable escaping during stringing. The liner is the working part: it lets the cable slide under a dissymmetric load on one span instead of taking the whole imbalance into the pole.

04 — Why it's built this way
- Slips rather than crushes when one span pulls harder than the other
- Non-permanent lock stops cable escape before the liner goes in
- Breaks and releases above its rated load, protecting the cable
- UV and weather resistant body, tested to NF EN 50483-6
