§ QualityDRG SYN-400

Tested tolet go.

A helix that never slips takes the cable with it. So the GR asks every fitting to hold its rating — and then to give way in a controlled, repeatable manner. Fourteen tests, the way the standard writes them.
Channel 07 Recording

Galloping / fatigue

A complete tension set and suspension set on a 100 m span, driven at anti-nodal amplitude of a full cable diameter.

Acceptance10 M cycles, 30–100 Hz

§ The rigs

Galloping at a full cable diameter, aeolian vibration at half of one, ten million cycles each — on a complete tension set and suspension set, with attenuation measured on every fibre afterwards.
