Tension Pole Assembly
01 — Overview
- Code
- SYN-T1-TPA
- Type
- Type-I — Helix type (Heavy duty)
- Drawing
- TEC GR 11.1
Everything that terminates a span onto one pole, supplied as a matched set. The GR specifies this assembly at tension and termination poles, at poles carrying a splice, and wherever the alignment turns through more than 15 degrees. Working from the cable inward: protective helix, terminating helix, clevis thimble, extension link, turn buckle, and either a J-shaped tension hook onto the pole's C-bracket or a pole collar clamp. A jumper cable clamp carries the through cable across the pole face.

04 — Why it's built this way
- Supplied as a set so component compatibility is not left to site
- 110 mm of sag adjustment at the turn buckle
- Helix grips along the cable, so the jacket never sees a point load
- All ferrous parts hot-dip galvanised to IS 2629
