Suspension Pole Assembly
01 — Overview
- Code
- SYN-T1-SPA
- Type
- Type-I — Helix type (Heavy duty)
- Drawing
- TEC GR 11.2
Hangs the cable at an intermediate pole without terminating it. The helically formed suspension fitting and its elastomer pad inserts are strapped by a galvanised eye-band, which hangs from a twisted eye link connected either to a pole mounted stay clamp or to a J-shaped tension hook on the C-bracket. Spiral vibration dampers are fitted on both sides to damp aeolian vibration.

04 — Why it's built this way
- Slips above 50% of three times cable weight rather than crushing
- Elastomer insert resists ozone and holds −30 °C to +70 °C
- Aluminium alloy reinforcement moulded into the larger elastomers
- Bird-caging prevented by the profiled pad under the armour grip
