Clevis Thimble
01 — Overview
- Code
- SYN-T1-CT-102
- Type
- Type-I — Helix type (Heavy duty)
- Drawing
- TEC GR 11.9
The interface between the formed helix and the steel hardware. The smooth internal contour accommodates the loop of the helically formed terminating helix so the loop is never kinked, and the clevis at the top takes the extension link. For power line applications an insulator may be used in place of the thimble for additional protection.

04 — Why it's built this way
- Smooth internal contour — the loop seats, it does not bend
- Cast not extruded, so no sharp edges against the helix
- Ferrous parts hot-dip galvanised to IS 2629
